A Layer 0 hub for the value internet

Openverse Network is a blockchain-based Layer 0 hub. It introduces a fully open, protocol-based cross-chain system so tokens, NFTs, and messages can move across chains and the traditional internet with the simplicity of sending email.

The network sits on a Layer 0 hub. Open protocols and cross-chain communication link distinct blockchains, then link the traditional internet with the value internet. Networks are no longer isolated islands. They communicate, transfer value, and cooperate under a shared protocol system.

The idea traces to Dr. Bright's 2014 work on public currency issuance, which set out Bitcurrency VRC10, Privcurrency VRC11, Bitsecurity VRC12, and PCIM (a competitive-market public currency issuance mechanism). Openverse adds bitcoin-style issuance, trading, and payments on EVM-compatible rails, and is realizing that design across mainnet and a growing ecosystem.

To cut energy use, the network uses delegated proof of stake (DPoS) rather than proof of work (POW). It can host thousands of validator and standby access nodes, forming a global root-server style network for the value internet. Under the BTG native-token allocation plan, core, technical, and community teams, institutions, and related government bodies take part in building and hosting those nodes.

BTG is the core digital asset of Openverse Network. The Foundation works to connect it with projects, applications, enterprises, communities, and users on the network. Its long-term base is network capability, real applications, commercial partnerships, user participation, and a growing ecosystem, not a market-price story.

As the Network and ecosystem expand, BTG links value across networks and applications. More projects, richer uses, wider commercial cooperation, and more enterprises and users will widen BTG's connections and application base. The Foundation's long aim is for BTG to rest on a growing Openverse super-ecosystem.
